Common questions about working with Kishan Savaliya as a Claude Code expert for ecommerce — rates, contracts, NDAs, AI stance, team coaching, references.
Can I hire you full-time, or only on contract?
Contract / freelance only at the moment. I run Panth Infotech and a 12-module mage2kishan SEO suite alongside client work, so a full-time W-2 / FTE seat doesn’t make sense for either side.
What I can offer that is “close to full-time”: a 30-hr/week dedicated retainer (4-month minimum) where I’m embedded in your team’s Slack and stand-ups, attend your sprint planning, and cap external work to keep your roadmap unblocked. Several CTOs have used that as a bridge while they hire a permanent senior dev.

Do you sign NDAs?
Yes — standard practice. I sign your NDA template before any commercial discussion or repo access. I also have a short mutual NDA template (PandaDoc, takes ~2 minutes to sign) if you don’t have one drafted.
For larger engagements ($25k+) I’ll also sign a separate data processing addendum if your store handles PCI / GDPR / HIPAA-adjacent data — happy to use yours or supply mine.
Most clients prefer fixed-price projects ($499 – $50k+) where I commit to an outcome rather than billing time. Quotes always include the scope, deliverables, and milestones in writing — you don’t pay until we both sign the SoW.

Where are you located and what timezone do you work in?
Based in Ahmedabad, India (IST, UTC+5:30). Core hours are 9 AM – 7 PM IST, but I shift 2–4 hrs/day for clients in EU / UK / US timezones. Calls scheduled in your timezone, never mine.
Practical overlap: UK 4–6 hrs/day, EU 4–6 hrs/day, US East 2–3 hrs/day, US West 1–2 hrs/day, Australia 5–6 hrs/day. For US-only async work I lean on Loom + written briefs — works better than 6 AM standups.

Can you teach my team how to use Claude Code?
Yes — this is a growing part of what I do. Three formats:
Half-day workshop ($1,500 flat): live Zoom, 4 hours, your team brings their actual Magento / Hyvä codebase. We set up CLAUDE.md, MCP servers, slash-commands, hooks. Recorded.
4-week embedded coaching ($6,000 flat): I’m in your Slack, review every Claude-Code-built PR, do weekly 60-min sessions, leave behind a written playbook.
Async written playbook ($499 flat): custom CLAUDE.md, slash-commands, MCP config, written runbook delivered as a PR to your repo. No live time.

Do you take equity or revenue-share?
Generally no, but case-by-case. I’ve done two equity-only builds in 10 years — both were for friends with strong product-market fit and existing revenue. Default answer for a cold inbound is "cash up front."
What I will consider: 50/50 cash + equity for a series-A or series-B startup with a credible CTO already in seat, where I’m a temporary specialist plug-in (e.g. Hyvä migration, Claude Code rollout). Vesting cliff and acceleration clauses apply.

Can I see Claude Code workflows in action before I hire you?
Yes — two ways:
30-min discovery call (free): book a free Zoom and I’ll screen-share my actual setup — CLAUDE.md, slash-commands, MCP servers, hooks, sub-agents — and answer questions about your project.
$150 paid pilot: 90-min consulting call where I run Claude Code live against a sample of your codebase, output a written report on what would and wouldn’t work for your project.
Also see the public prompts library for the same configs I use on client work.

What’s your view on AI replacing junior developers?
Honest answer: AI is replacing the type of work juniors used to do (boilerplate, scaffolding, glue code) faster than companies are training juniors to do harder work. That gap is going to bite.
What I tell clients: don’t fire your juniors, retrain them. Pair every junior with Claude Code, change their KPI from "lines of code" to "PR review quality + system understanding," and they outpace mid-levels who refuse the tooling within 6 months. The ones who can’t adapt get replaced — but that was true of every previous tooling shift (IDE, compiler, ORM, framework). My workshops focus on the retraining angle, not the replacement angle.

Who owns the code you write for me — including the AI-generated parts?
You do. 100%, no exceptions. Every line of code I write under contract — whether typed by me or generated by Claude Code on my prompts — is your property. Full IP transfer in the SoW. You get the GitHub repo, deploy keys, documentation, database, CI/CD config.
The specific question on AI-generated code: I follow Anthropic’s commercial-use terms (output is yours), I never paste your proprietary code into a third-party LLM other than Anthropic’s API, and I keep audit logs of every Claude Code session for the duration of the engagement. If you have a specific clause you need (e.g. "no AI-generated code in this module"), I’ll respect it — just put it in the SoW.

What’s the best way to start working with you?
Three-step path that minimises wasted time on both sides:
Send a brief through the form on this page (or email kishansavaliyakb@gmail.com). 6–10 lines is enough — what you need, by when, rough budget if you have one.
30-min free discovery call (Zoom). I read your brief beforehand and come with questions. By the end of the call you’ll know whether I’m the right fit and whether Claude-Code-paired-dev makes sense for your project.
Written quote & SoW within 48 hours of the call. Scope, deliverables, milestones, payment schedule, IP terms, NDA. Sign digitally, 30% deposit, we start.
Average time from first email to first commit: 5–10 business days.
