How it works

Bold text without rich-text support — how?

Most social-media platforms strip <b>HTML formatting</b> from posts and bio fields. This tool side-steps that by using Unicode characters that look bold, italic, script, or fraktur but are still plain text. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord — they all accept Unicode and render it correctly.

  1. 01 Type or paste Drop your text into the box above. The tool runs entirely in your browser — your text never leaves the page.
  2. 02 Pick a style All 16 styles update live as you type. Try a few — different platforms render different blocks differently (older fonts may show empty squares for less-common ranges).
  3. 03 Click Copy + paste Copy any variant in one click. Paste into Twitter, Instagram bio, LinkedIn headline, Discord, WhatsApp, YouTube description — anywhere that takes plain text.
FAQ

Six honest questions about Unicode bold text

Is this real bold text or a font trick?

It is Unicode characters that look bold — not actual CSS bold. Each "𝐀" or "𝗮" is a separate codepoint in the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block. They are still text, so they survive copy-paste through every platform that accepts plain Unicode.

Will it work on Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Discord, WhatsApp?

Yes — all of those render Unicode by default. The Bold Sans and Bold variants work most reliably across platforms. Older / cheaper Android devices sometimes fall back to a default font that does not have the more exotic blocks (Fraktur, Squared) — those will show as empty squares on those devices.

Is it bad for SEO if I use bold text in my IG / LinkedIn bio?

Slightly. Search engines and screen readers index Unicode characters by their canonical names, not as styled letters. So "𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿" reads as "MATHEMATICAL SANS-SERIF BOLD CAPITAL H..." to Google. For accessibility + SEO, use Unicode bold sparingly — just for visual emphasis, not for keywords.

Are there character limits?

On the tool: 5,000 characters. On platforms: each platform has its own limit, and Unicode characters often count as multiple bytes — Twitter counts each math-bold letter as 1 character (good), but some SMS / character-counter widgets count them as 2-4. Check before you publish.

Why are some letters missing from certain styles?

Unicode reserved a few codepoints in the Math block for things like the Planck constant (𝒽 = h), so some "italic" or "script" letters are pulled from the Letterlike Symbols block instead. The tool handles these substitutions automatically — you should not see any letter rendered as plain.

Is anything stored or tracked?

Nothing. The conversion runs entirely in your browser via JavaScript. No network calls, no cookies, no analytics on your typed text. The page itself uses standard analytics for traffic counting.
